For the caramel

100 g of sugar

50g of Fléchard butter

Beurre sec fléchard

For the rest

1 roll shortcrust pastry

1kg apples

Preparation

Place the diced butter in a saucepan, then pour over the sugar. Leave to cook over a low heat for 5 minutes without stirring, the caramel will take care of itself.

Pour the caramel into the bottom of a tart dish.

Add the apples cut into large dice, then cover with the shortcrust pastry.

Bake for 25 minutes in the oven at 210°C (Gas Mark 7).

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Tips

To prevent them from releasing too much water, it is recommended to use Royal Gala, Pink Lady, or Reine des Reinettes apples.
